Paula Gantz has more than 30 years in the scientific, technical and medical publishing fields. Prior to working for STM publishers, she spent more than 15 years in consumer magazine and newspaper publishing, holding financial and marketing roles. She has an MBA in marketing from The Wharton School and a BS from Cornell University.
Prior to establishing a consulting business 15 years ago, Paula held key positions with Elsevier and Springer SBM, managing and developing medical and scientific content for some of the most prestigious societies in the U.S., Europe and Asia. She has been directly involved in new product development, business development and acquisitions activity. Her special interests are content management and innovation, global publishing alliances, and new business models for STM publishing.
Paula has assisted numerous societies in expanding their publishing portfolios to include new Open Access journals and has personally been involved in over two dozen journal and magazine start-ups during her career. Paula believes passionately in the power of scientific knowledge to improve our lives and is actively involved in efforts to enhance the access to and integrity of our most valuable STM content.
